So I came up with this great idea for a fake beard using fiber mascara and I realized there were no tutorials out there for this already. So I made one myself. It works really well and is very realistic!!

  • here are some links to some fiber mascaras as well as the type I used (I’m sure you guys can find one at a cheaper price though)
  • here is the absolute best crossplay makeup tutorial I highly recommend it

I’m so sorry for my handwriting I did my best I swear

Omg trans men will love this

Damn, hey cutie.

OMG now I need some mascara…

makeup artist here!! this is an awesome tutorial, and i never would’ve thought of using fiber mascara for beards (i hate them on eyelashes so at least they’re good for something)! contour on point, too.

but i really do discourage using hairspray on your face, regardless of skin type! that stuff is (clearly) not even good for your hair, essential as it may be. it may do the “best” job at keeping you makeup in place, but it’s not worth ruining your skin over. drying out your skin makes it prone to aging!!! just because something isn’t lethal doesn’t mean it should go on your face.

make up forever is known for their wear-proof and waterproof products, they have makeup sealers like mist & fix and (my personal fave) aqua seal. they’re really pricey, like, trust me, i understand makeup on a budget more than most, but there are plenty of cheaper drugstore options (i have friends who use the NYX one, i personally use UD’s mattefying spray [which is still expensive augh] and know MUAs who swear by MAC fix+ [i can’t personally vouch for this one as i haven’t tried it myself]). if setting sprays and sealers really don’t hold up to hairspray as much, you can always carry your mascara, spoolie, and a powder compact with you for touch-ups. makeup is supposed to be touched up!

and in the end, makeup in general isn’t good for your skin (looking @ you, bullshit mineral makeup) but as a rule, things for your hair generally should not be used for your face.
